Uzbekistan’s tourism potential is presented in Baku

The exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan” was organized in Baku from December 15 to 17 this year. The exhibition is organized by the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan presented a tourist stand of Uzbekistan, where guests could get acquainted with the historical sights of the republic, new opportunities and types of tourism and sports potential, as well as gastronomic delights of Uzbek national cuisine.

About 80 Uzbek companies-manufacturers of textile, leather and footwear, silk, food, chemical, electrical, pharmaceutical, construction, furniture and machine-building industries took part in the exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan”.

The main goal of the “Made in Uzbekistan” business mission is to promote Uzbek products, establish ties between Uzbek and Azerbaijani business communities, increase exports, widely familiarize visitors with the country’s production potential, develop cooperative ties to organize new import-substituting industries with high added value with the prospect of subsequent export of products to third-country markets, provide Uzbek exporters with a range of specialized services to promote their products and services to the foreign market.

The guests of the exhibition were very interested in the products presented at the stand of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ceramics, textiles, silk, astrakhan and leather products.

The guests of the exhibition were able to get acquainted with printed advertising products, in particular, the Uzbekistan magazine was successfully presented at the stand of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.Travel”, as well as colorful videos revealing the rich tourism potential of our country.

During the exhibition, guests were able to taste festive pilaf prepared by Uzbek chefs who specially arrived in Baku from Uzbekistan.

At the end of the business mission, many meetings were held in the B2B format between representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
